A movement for Kerala specialty coffee

Good coffee.
Known origins.

കേരളത്തിന്റെ കാപ്പിക്കഥകൾ

Our mission is to help Kerala coffee realise its potential and earn recognition — with the producers, places and work behind it clearly in view.

Recognition begins at the farm

A place for the people behind the coffee.

We want more people to discover Kerala through its coffees: the farm, the producer and the decisions that shape each lot. Naming those origins gives visitors a starting point for asking better questions and building direct conversations.

Our producer directory keeps those relationships visible beyond the day of an event. Participation is recorded by showcase, so a past collaboration remains part of the story without implying that every producer is present at every gathering.

Practical progress

Better understanding. More possibility.

Producers can contact us to talk about their coffee and the help they need. Together, we can explore questions around harvesting, processing, drying, sample roasting and tasting.

The aim is useful feedback and a practical next step for the farm. We agree the support around the coffee and the producer’s needs; a conversation is the place to begin.

A wider table

Connecting Kerala coffee with the world.

Our annual programme brings Kerala Origins to Kochi and Kozhikode, with two showcases around each coffee harvest season. Producers, roasters, brewers, buyers and curious coffee drinkers come together to taste and exchange ideas.

We also aim to take Kerala coffees to festivals and professional audiences elsewhere in India and internationally. The purpose is to build recognition, relationships and opportunities that continue after the cupping table is cleared.

How we share information

Transparency is part of the work.

A useful coffee story should make its source clear. We use these principles when presenting farms, coffees and collaborations.

Credit the source
Farm, location and processing information comes from producers unless another source is identified. Details that are not yet available are left open rather than filled in.
Describe the actual lot
A processing method or tasting note belongs to a particular coffee. It should not automatically describe every coffee a farm grows.
Keep tasting in context
If a score or assessment is published, its source and context should be stated. Being listed or showcased is not a certification or a guaranteed grade.
Make relationships visible
Founders, participating producers, roasters and event partners have different roles. We credit those roles and welcome corrections from the people involved.

The purpose we share

More value for the work. More recognition for the origin.
