Kerala Origins
Kozhikode.
The shared table began at Sukoru Specialty Coffee, Calicut.
On 11 July 2026, Kerala Origins held its first gathering at Sukoru Specialty Coffee in Kozhikode, also known as Calicut. Coffee cupping, producer talks and a brew bar brought the work of Kerala growers into a shared conversation.
Arabica, Robusta and Excelsa gave visitors different starting points for exploring Kerala coffee. The gathering offered a chance to talk about origins and processing while tasting the coffees themselves.

The first shared table
Start with the people growing it.
The programme connected coffee tasting with producer conversations. It gave the farms behind the coffees a place in the room, alongside the people roasting, brewing and discovering their work.

From this table, onwards.
Kozhikode was an early expression of Kerala Origins’ purpose: help Kerala-grown coffees be understood through their people, places and processes. The annual programme now centres on showcases in Kozhikode and Kochi, with a wider ambition to reach audiences across India and internationally.
